Having difficulties participating online communication within Club Africa? Read the lists of instructions below for ideas of contributing online.

 

Contributing


Club Africa is a platform on which you can shareand gather information relating doing business with and within Africa. So, we want You to contribute! But how?

 

Members: Edit your profile by filling information about your company and give a short introduction about yourself. Add your ideas and classifieds and/or comments on those of other members.

 

Experiences: Add and share your successful, memorable, funny and/or bitter experiences of doing business with and/or within Africa, link and share your blog and give comments on those of other members.

 

Calendar: Create your own calendar; see general events and business related events and exhibitions in Africa. Special function: See other members who will be in Africain which period.

Profile

Edit your profile. Let other members know who you are. You can edit your profile by adding a photo, by publishing information about yourself, your business expertise and your future business goals.


Edit your profile
  1. Click on My Profile in the right column; 
  2. This is your Profile. Scroll down to click on the button Edit Profile/ Settings

  • a) Add your picture (max size 60 kb)     
  • b) Add a text to introduce yourself; 
  • c) Add a text to introduce your business.
  • d) Add a text to introduce your (work) position/ function

Upload your picture
  1. Follow all steps for "Edit your profile";
  2. Browse for your picture > open > save;
  3. Your picture must be a .jpg or .gif file (note the small characters);
  4. Note that the name of your picture cannot contain characters such as !@#, et cetera;
  5. Your picture cannot be larger than 60 kb;
  6. Microsoft Office Picture Manager to reduce the size of your picture (via Microsoft Office > Microsoft Office Tools > Microsoft Office Picture Manager > edit pictures > change picture size: resize);
  7. See step 2.

Contact

Add contacts. Found an interesting other member? Add him/her to your contact list. Also, invite your friends and partners to Club China by clicking the button "invite your contacts" at the bottom of each page.



Add a contact


  1. Go to members;
  2. Search for members (and fill in your search criteria) via the column on the right;
  3. The search results will list all members who match your search criteria;
  4. Click on "Add as Contact" to add this specific member.  Click on "Send message" to send a message to this specific member
     

Experience

Share your business experiences, by clicking on the button "add your experience" and then give a good title which in one sentence summarizes your experience, and share your experience in text with or without picture in the text box below the title. Selecting the right category (either business or leisure) is also an important process, it help other members find your experience articles easily.  By sharing and discussing experiences which are relevant for doing business successfully with and within China, we can learn from each other and even build a network with each other.


Comment on content and give feedback on contributions (could be a calendar event, a tip, an experience, and a classified) of other members. By doing so, members can get more involved with each other in order to build network with each other.  You will find the button shown below at the end of every contribution.


Tip

Add tips. Share your knowledge with other members. By doing so, you can help other members with your expertise. You can find Tip as a sub-tab under the tab "members". Click on the button "add your tip" and start to share your tip with other members! You can make other members find your tip efficiently by carefully selecting category, location, industries and company size.

Calendar

Fill in your calendar. Go to Calendar, click on the button "add a calendar event" fill in the name of the event and its specific period, give short description of the event and add an official website could be a plus point.  Indicating the actual type of event and location can help to better grouping events for other members.  By doing so, you can let other members know about future attendance at event, seminar, et cetera.
